NEW IN 2016
This year your Home Arts division is proud to introduce a brand new competition – The Great Fair Bake-Off 2016.
In celebration of our beautiful Garden State and our long standing commitment to sharing the wonders of Agriculture this year we are asking our entrants to prepare a cake (no less than 8 in.) with fresh produce. For our adult competitors (18 years old and up) we are asking that the cake include a vegetable. For out teens (13-17 years old) we ask that the cake include a fruit.
Judging will take place August 6th at 2 p.m. outside of the Home Arts Building.
Entries will be judged and scored live.
Each entry will have the chance to score up to 100 points and named the first ever Fair Bake-off Winner!

20 Points – Presentation
20 Points – Execution
30 Points – Taste
30 Points – Creativity using Theme Ingredient
There are a limited number of spaces for this competition so it is Pre-Registration only. All registration forms must be e-mailed by July 24, 2016. We will confirm entry status by July 27th.

The Fairgoer’s Choice Award will continue in 2016. We are giving our visitors the chance to tell us what you think is the best entry in the entire Home Arts Division! The winner will receive a special ribbon. Ballots will be available at the Home Arts building and vegetable tent. Ballot boxes will be located at the entrances – one ballot per person, per day. Voting will take place during fair hours from Mon., Aug. 1, 2016 starting at 5 p.m. until Sat. Aug. 6, 2016 at 3 p.m. Winner will be announced on Sat., Aug. 7, at 7 p.m.
Entry day is Sun., July 31, 2016 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. only. If you did not pre-register, please arrive at least one hour before closing to allow sufficient time for your cards to be filled out and your entries accepted by the division chairperson. Pre-registration is encouraged, however you may register on site on entry day.
Pick up time is Mon., Aug. 8, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. No entries will be returned Sun. night.
